Asian Glazed Salmon
When temperatures reach in the 3 digit range, the last thing you want to do is slave over a hot stove. This recipe is fast and easy with just 3 steps {whisk-brush-bake} and only runs your oven for 15 minutes tops. Now regrettably, I don’t own a grill but this would be just as easy on one as well. I served mine on a simple watercress salad with rice and kimchi on one of those busy days where you can’t seem to catch your breath. It was so much more nourishing and satisfying than a greasy fast food bag and I didn’t feel like I had to stress about dinner. I encourage you to try this next time you have a million and one things to do {or you’re craving a nice piece of salmon}

- ¼ c soy sauce
- 2 ts sesame oil
- 2 tb pineapple juice
- 1 tb honey
- 1 ts minced ginger
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 2-3 salmon fillets
- Optional: green onions or sesame seeds.
- Whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, pineapple juice, honey, ginger and garlic.
- On medium heat, allow it to bubble and thicken. Whisk constantly.
- When it’s nicely reduced (it took me about 10 minutes), brush it on your fillets.
- Bake or grill. Mine took 13 minutes in the oven at 350.
- Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds
Wishing y’all a happy weekend!
Love,
Your Squishy Monster ^.~

I also prefer baking things in the oven rather than spending even 10 minutes over the stove when it’s hot. The glazing looks fabulous.
Thanks, Sissi!
I am drooling over those beautifully done salmon steak!

Lovely recipe. We have salmons quite often too. I agree…I don’t like slaving over the stove in the summer either.
I need to make this again but on the grill soon too!

YUM! It’s been far too long since I’ve enjoyed salmon. I cook mine like this too…but with a lot more honey (OK maple syrup) hehe.

I’d never quess that this is a salmon. Because of glaze I thought it was a chicken. It must be a very interesting taste. Glaze looks amazing.

I hope your boys really do love it. Have a great weekend, Saskia!
aw, you’re so sweet. Thanks, CJ!
This looks great Angie. Love a simple salmon dinner. I make a similar one but two things stood out in your recipe – pineapple juice and the fact that you simmer and reduce your marinade first. Both would make for a super-tasty dish methinks! I’m definitely trying pineapple in my marinade next time. I know my boys would love the added sweetness too.
