Here Comes the Sun
Even if the sweat on your brow all this time told you otherwise, today is officially the first day of Summer. I love any occasion that revolves around food so c’mon in Summer! Summer arrives with the same eagerness of all the kids excited to finally be out of school, bearing gifts of backyard bbq’s, sweetly scented fruit, buckets of ice cream to drip down your polka dot sun dress, and everything steeped or bathed in ice.
Why not consider one of these for your next family picnic?
…and if those don’t strike your fancy, how about a Key Lime Milkshake, Bubble Tea,or a refreshing Tongan drink called “Otai?
Feast & have fun, just don’t forget the sunblock
Love,
Your Squishy Monster

Ms Squishy Monster Angie, I am straight up LOVING your blog. So glad that I discovered it (you left a comment on one of my posts, actually!) Going to hunt down some patbingsu soon, it’s getting pretty hot here in Korea right now! The fresh fruit tart looks amazing, too. In fact, it all does.

Hi,
Yes please to all of the above, oh they do look delicious.
“First official day of summer”? Swedish folks are celebrating midsummer this weekend, but then to be fair their summers are quick. It’s real hot here – wish at least the office air-con worked!
Oh wow! Baby brother was in Sweden last summer and he said it was gooorg!
Angie. You share much with us all.So I will this with you.Not long after I commented on your blog. I was notified my sister that has been very ill( My oldest sister that had a major birth day last week, she had to be in a near by facility for the last several years) She had to be taken to hospital, she was un responsive…She died shortly there after. Please keep my family in your prayers? Thank you.
Les.
I am so very sorry to hear this Les. Death is probably one of the most difficult hardships to endure. Please stay strong, my friend. Of course I will keep you and your family in my prayers! I pray that she’s in Heaven at this very moment smiling down on you for the kind and brave person that you are! She’s no longer in any pain and is resting with the Angels, saving a place for you! I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!!!!
Thank you so much Angie.
xoxo.
