Weekend Bits
I worked a lot but that’s to be expected and other than that, my weekend was great, how was yours?
Nothing like sugar to jump start your day! Why yes, that would be a shortbread crust + homemade salted caramel + streusel
Spicy Tuna & Eel/King Crab Rolls for lunch
Cheesy stuffed shells for dinner and garlicky cheesy bread, for good measure {baked in my new birthday present—I hope my brother sees this from the Netherlands and smiles}
I also watched Looper
Prepping for a night out {first time in heels in a million years} Have I ever mentioned how much I hate heels? But for food, I’ll make an exception, and how cute are these?!
*Also, go check out my article in this weeks Creative Loafing!
I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend!
Love, love, love,
Your Squishy Monster ^.~

Is looper not just the coolest film!!!!! What an incredibly awesome weekend
I did enjoy it though, there was a twist I wasn’t expecting and how CUTE [but scary] was that little boy, lol.
sounds like an awesome weekend! and those are some fabulous shoes!
awe congrats on the feature! you are so awesome! And you make spicy tuna rolls at home?! what can’t you do?????!
I don’t like to wear heels much either, but yours are just adorable! I want to see Looper too. Good weekend, my friend!
I liked looper…made me realize there is good food in the past as well as in the future ….and to stay away from eye droppers.
wonderful heels btw
garlicky cheesy cheese looks yummy yum
My weekend was nice and relaxing, especially since I had Monday off!
**drools** those ooey gooey bars look so, well ooey and gooey!!
Nice work on the article! The cheesy stuffed shells and garlic cheesy bread looks nice too
I’m definitely a food > heels girl (also doesn’t help that I’m a klutz when it comes to walking in heels!) but those are some awesome, awesome shoes you’ve got there!
I made Tarte Tatin and rice salad with tuna and artichokes during the weekend, so mine was good, too, very relaxing.
As for the Looper, I didn’t enjoy it that much (to shoots were too loud, and the film had an overall depressing atmosphere) but I was happy about the outcome.
I think we need to know more about the gooey bars. And the stuffed cheesy shells. And I love your heels! Girl, you’re rocking them.
Sounds like a delicious weekend even if you did work a lot! Those stuffed shells..swoon!
Your weekend food looks amazing and we’ll done on the article
I enjoy drive-ins too. I’m hoping to combine it with a picnic (if the weather is nice enough) Hope you got to check it out in paper =)
Niiice!!
I mean, what part of your party IS safe, lol…
I live in flip flops until it gets so cold, my baby toe literally wimpers…lol—must.go.somewhere.warm!
You are too kind, Unni!
My feet were shocked that they weren’t wearing flip flops =)
Angie. The food looks wonderful!! You look wonderful on your blog interview photo. Nice heels,9 Really cue ankles and feet respectfully meant).
You certainly do inject yourself into all you do and something wonderful, lovely, and special always manifests!!
All the food above looks great!! Especially the tuna crab dish Angie!! ooooooo! yum!!
God bless you! Have a wonderful day! Be happy! Be Angie!
Love.
Les.
I enjoyed your interview Angela! Oh what a beautiful pair of shoes! I’m 5 feet and definitely need heels but like you I haven’t worn in million years… since my first pregnancy (minus occasional wedding). Enjoy your night out! And having cooler weather these days, your cheesy stuffed shells is tempting!
I always have a blast reading your enjoyable blog plus that interview…..aside from those yummy delights, those shoes are equally yummy…haha!!!

You are so sweet, Rebecca!
We should band together as the women of shortness and celebrate it, whatdya say? I’m all of 5 foot 3 1/2–lol.
I hope I can always deliver hope and smiles with food =) I hope you have a great one, Les!
Thanks, Tandy–after an entire weekend of food, Mondays are a grumble-groan, lol.
I have ’em down in the books—my book looks like it could use a little diet, lol.
it sounds like you had a most yummmmy weekend, my friend! Yes, it was definitely melancholy but something that I thought about a day later during down time (i.e. doing tedious boring things like dishes), lol.
Yup, the downside to clothes/shoes/makeup is that it isn’t edible! =)
Your day rocked!
The heels are definitely cute.
Velva
Ohhhh sushi-I want these rolls right now!!!:) Great interview Angela-I really enjoyed reading it!

First of all, all of that food looks so delicious! Love the shoes but what did you think of Looper? A friend hated it but others liked it
That’s a great interview Angela!! Loveeee those shoes! I’m so clumsy though so I’d be falling all over myself I had wore them.
Hey … Great article & great heels
Thank You Angie! You also.
Thank ya =)
I can’t say that I didn’t, lol
I enjoyed it…my personal measure of whether or not I liked a movie is whether or not I was bored and I definitely wasn’t.
Thanks for reading, Elena!! =)
It was definitely a great weekend =)
That heels!!! Oh my
=)
Those are some nice heels Angie – yeah, I’m a dude, but I’m a sucker for heels on a woman!
What a wonderful idea; picnic and a movie. Now only if I could find a proper date. ~.^
I did get a paper copy while I was on campus. I’ve toyed with the idea of making a collection of sorts from different articles of friends to make a coffee table album. I blew my friends mind when I showed him some pictures he drew for me when we were in elementary school after he was featured in Creative Loafing for his work in the comic book industry. I used to think I was a pack-rat but after catching an episode of Hoarders, I realized I’m not that bad. Kudos again for the write up!!
Warmest Regards,
-Paul
You should totally do it! My bf tells me that you only miss the shots you don’t try…I’m rooting for ya!!
lol…well noted, Charles =)
